Each round is adjusted by multiplying the rider's overall finish by K divided by that round's field size, rounded to two decimals. The scores are averaged, anything more than 25% above that average is discarded, and the rest are averaged again. At least 6 scores must survive the discard, which is why riders with few rounds show as unranked.

Only classes that pay points and carry an AMA classification take part, so Sportsman, Trailrider, the women's classes and Open Electric appear in results but not here, and their entries count towards neither the field size nor the constant. A rating that lands on the rung a rider already holds is marked not advancing: the Morning ladder is written for C riders, so an A or B rider taking the shorter Morning race always rates into band B, which is no advancement for them.
